Fives Celes was in charge of the validation of the cooling needs, the engineering and the design of the system, the procurement of the equipment, the integration in the existing painting line and commissioning of a complete package consisting in :
an open cooling tower,
a circulation unit integrating the pumps et the PLC control system,
the filtering equipment,
an additional new cooling unit,
the modification of the existing water/water exchangers on the pure water loops,

General characteristics
The aim of the modification was the replacement of the cooling water circuit operating with the ground water. That water was used to supply the primary of the water/water exchanger operating the induction heating units on the combined painting and galvanising line.
The modification consisted in designing and adding a new raw water loop equipped with a open cooling tower. That loop supplied the five primaries of the existing water/water exchanger cooling units.
A main PLC controls the circulation station and the cooling tower feeding all the cooling units. By this way, the closed loop is generating water consumption economy.
