Arcelor Mittal Lesaka ordered Fives Stein Bilbao SA the implementation of a coil coating section on their existing galvanizing line.
The combined line will be able to process at 45 tph the following products with the hiighest quality:
- Normal passivated galvanized materialwith or with out chrome VI
- Galvanized material with application of an organic film (TOC), type antifinger, dry film, etc
- Mono-layer or Bi-layer prepainted material
Arcelor Mittal selected Fives Celes induction patented technology associated with Fives Stein induction curing process. Thanks to a regenerative thermal oxidizer, the complete solution will fully comply with high energy efficiency, flexibility of operation, and most stringent environmnet regulation.
The project has gone through Arcelor Mittal investment process despite the severe economic downturn for material producers. It will provide Lesaka works room for a better competitiveness and future investment.
The first painted coil is expected in the first Quarter 2011.
