Quenching is a key step of the hardening process. Quenching consist in a controlled cooling of the heated parts to obtain a superficial or core hardening. The operation could be performed with the following quenchant:
Air
Pure water
Oil
Water with additional component (polymers of PAG or PVP type)
Fives Celes propose reliable mixing solution. They can integrate in most case some propeller pumps and fluid exchanger of specific type dedicated to the application.
The design of the tank is also driven by the application. They can be manufactured in carbon steel or stainless steel according to the quenchant used.

The cooling solutions are based either on external exchangers or immersed exchangers of CELES BRA type. In the tank the propeller pumps CELES PIM, CELES PAM, and CELES PMB ensure the appropriate mixing of the quenchant. The filtering system is usually performed by decantation associated with a mechanical device or by a uncoiling filtering media. |
