Fives awarded for its investment in Japan

On October 8th, Frédéric Sanchez was awarded a prize for Fives' investment in Japan through the acquisition of Cinetic Sorting KK. The group purchased this company from the Sandvik Group in July 2007, along with Cinetic Sorting Spa in Italy and Cinetic Sorting Corp. in the United States.

The ceremony, organized by the French Agency for International Investment (AFII), rewards two French companies for their investments in Japan and two Japanese companies for their investments in France each year. In 2009, the winning companies alongside Fives are Eurocopter, Toray and Otsuka Pharmaceutical.

Other French industrialists that have been awarded this prize include Schneider Electric, Renault, Air Liquide, Lafarge, Saint Gobain and Michelin.
