Groupe 3 Suisses International is the 2nd leading e-commerce group in France, and ranked 7th in Europe.
In line with its modernization strategy, the Group has decided to build France’s largest centre for preparing orders made through e-Commerce companies in Hem, next to Lille, France.
As part of a €70 million global investment for this logistics centre, a contract has been awarded to Fives Cinetic for the design, manufacture, supply, installation and start-up of the sorting system, as well as 2 years warranty, hotline service, inspection and spare parts.
Fives Cinetic’s solution includes two SBIR cross belt sorters, automatic induction lines and 4-level chutes.
The project includes the installation of carton and palette racking, automatic tote storage, conveyors, two item sorting machines, all globally controlled by the new IT system.
The SBIR cross belt sorter is able to automatically sort the full range of items available
from Groupe 3 Suisses International’s brand websites (as well as from partners websites), right from small packages containing a pair of earrings and weighing only 20g, up to larger products that can weigh up to 10kg.
