Fives Stein recently patented Sunbath™, a new process for the manufacturing of high quality anti-reflective float glass. This innovation is aimed at the photovoltaic market, particularly the rapidly growing thin-film photovoltaic sector. Sunbath™ gives glass permanent anti-reflective characteristics, which in the past could only be obtained through rolling, while preserving all the properties of float glass, namely perfect flatness and high surface quality. Thanks to its expertise, its technologies, and its technology partnerships, Fives Stein is well equipped to satisfy the needs of thin-film and crystalline silicon photovoltaic module manufacturers.
